Athlete & Parent Data Notice
Effective Date: September 9, 2026
SportLens Technologies (“SportLens”) provides football evaluation, development, reporting, and performance-intelligence services for athletes, families, coaches, schools, programs, and evaluators.
This Notice explains how athlete information may be used when an athlete or family participates in SportLens services.
1. Information SportLens May Receive
Depending on the services used, SportLens may receive or process:
- Athlete name and contact information
- Age, date of birth, graduation year, school, team, and position
- Height, weight, and football background
- Evaluation scores and observations
- Practice, camp, drill, or game-performance information
- Development priorities and progress information
- Coach or evaluator notes
- Photos, video, or football film
- Parent or guardian contact information
- Athlete Record information
- Football Resume™ information
- Information provided by an authorized school, coach, camp, program, or evaluator
Not every SportLens service collects every category above.
2. Why Athlete Information May Be Used
SportLens may use athlete information to:
- Conduct evaluations
- Prepare reports
- Identify development priorities
- Maintain athlete history
- Create or update an Athlete Record
- Produce Football Resume™ views
- Support coaching and program decisions
- Track development over time
- Provide athlete or parent experiences
- Improve SportLens services
- Operate future SportLens platform features when they become available
3. Athlete Record
The Athlete Record is intended to serve as the athlete’s persistent SportLens history.
It may contain evaluation, development, performance, and other football information collected or authorized over time.
The Football Resume™ is a presentation or shareable expression of information derived from the Athlete Record. It is not intended to be a separate underlying record.
4. Parents, Guardians, and Minor Athletes
SportLens may require parent or guardian involvement when an athlete is a minor.
For services involving children under 13 that are subject to applicable law, SportLens will take applicable steps before collecting covered personal information directly from the child, which may include parental notice and verifiable parental consent.
Parents and guardians should not permit a child to create or use an account contrary to SportLens age or consent requirements.
5. School and Program Information
Schools, teams, camps, coaches, or other organizations may provide athlete information to SportLens where authorized.
When information qualifies as an education record, schools or educational institutions may have separate legal obligations regarding disclosure and authorization.
Additional agreements may govern how SportLens may use, maintain, or redisclose such information.
6. Photos, Video, and Football Film
SportLens may process authorized media to support:
- Evaluation
- Performance review
- Development feedback
- Athlete reports
- Athlete Record history
- Future automated or computer-assisted analysis
Providing media to SportLens does not automatically transfer ownership of the underlying media.
The person or organization providing media represents that it has the authority to do so.
7. Automated Analysis
Current or future SportLens services may use software, artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, or other automated tools.
These technologies may assist in organizing information, finding patterns, surfacing relevant evidence, or producing development context.
Automated output is intended to assist human football judgment and may not be complete or error-free.
8. Biometric Information
SportLens does not intend to commercially capture regulated biometric identifiers without implementing required safeguards.
If future features involve regulated biometric identifiers, SportLens will provide required disclosures, obtain consent where required, and apply appropriate retention and deletion practices.
9. Sharing Athlete Information
Depending on authorization and product functionality, athlete information may be shared with:
- The athlete
- A parent or guardian
- Authorized coaches
- Evaluators
- School or program administrators
- Service providers operating on SportLens’s behalf
- Other recipients selected or authorized by the appropriate user
SportLens does not guarantee that every feature will include user-controlled sharing settings at launch.
10. No Recruiting or Performance Guarantee
Participation in SportLens does not guarantee:
- Team placement
- Playing time
- Position assignment
- Recruiting exposure
- College admission
- Scholarship offers
- Athletic improvement
- Professional opportunity
SportLens information is one source of football context, not a guarantee of future outcomes.
11. Parent and Athlete Requests
Where applicable, athletes, parents, or guardians may contact SportLens regarding:
- Access
- Correction
- Deletion
- Consent questions
- Sharing concerns
- Account or record questions
Requests may be subject to identity, authority, legal, contractual, school, or record-retention requirements.
